Special Event Coordinator
This is a flexible, virtual/remote, part-time (approximately 5-7 hours a week) event planning opportunity. The Special Events Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Community Relations. The SEC will have the following responsibilities:

Assist the team with signature special events such as Living Healthy Workshops, Start Healthy, Stay Healthy Workshops, Hats & Heels for Healthy Hearts, and the Healthy Happy Heart Expo

Acquire new event opportunities by utilizing effective communication and planning techniques

Facilitate communication between vendors, volunteers, and venues as needed

Be available for weekend and/or evening events

Maintain a professional branded presence during events
Social Media & Digital Volunteer
The Social Media Coordinator will work with the communications team to understand our mission and create content that aligns with the mission. The SMC will increase and maintain our presence/interaction on various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and our website).
This is a 6-month, virtual/remote, 12 hours a week. Work-related expenses will be reimbursed. The SMC will work closely with the Director of Communications to create a communications plan and Social Media Calendar.
Responsibilities include:

Updates the social media accounts with fresh content to improve engagement and outreach

Conducts research to find articles and stories relevant to heart health, heart and other related material that invite conversation and interaction

Monitors and replies to conversation/interaction

Updates the website
-
Updates and grows the Constant Contact List

Tracks social media interaction and growth and provides the communication committee with monthly updates
Corporate Fundraising Specialist
This is a flexible, virtual/remote, part-time (approximately 15-20 hours a week) event planning internship. The Corporate Fundraising Specialist will report directly to the Executive Director. The CFS will have the following responsibilities:

Assist with donor stewardship, renewal, and recognition

Lead the planning and management of fundraising events

Coordinate and follow-up on stewardship mailings and phone call campaigns as well as donor requests

Work with the executive team to prospect and solicit major donors

Identify and approach potential business partners

Help increase communication with supporters
-
Assist with general fundraising activities, as needed
